Welcome to our language classes at Right2Education. We offer Dutch and English courses for people with a refugee background, no matter their residency status. Collaborating with Amsterdam University College (AUC), our classes take place in the AUC Academic Building and are mostly taught by AUC/UvA/VU students, but also by other qualified volunteers.
Classes are held twice a week for three hours each, usually in the evenings. The course lasts for 8 weeks. The course periods are the following:
September-October
November-December
February-March
April-May
When you finish the course successfully, you'll get a certificate. It shows you passed and how many hours you studied. This certificate can help you with further education and jobs.
You can choose from Dutch levels A1, A2, B1.1, and B1.2, as well as English levels A1-A2, A2-B1, B2, and C1.

Intensive Courses
There are also Dutch intensive courses, where you can join official AUC Dutch classes. This is a unique opportunity as participants get a temporary UvA ID and study alongside AUC students.
The intensive courses last 4 weeks, with classes held 4 times a week during the day. Each class is 3 hours long. This course is called “intensive” because students learn as much as in our regular classes but then in half the time.
The levels include Dutch A1, Dutch A2, Dutch B1.1 and Dutch B1.2. The intensive courses take place in
January
June
This program is designed to quickly improve your language skills, getting you ready for future education and jobs.
